A Polish girl who used to write poems and play Chopin nocturnes ran away to a better future. But business made her miserable and money didn’t motivate her, so she turned to study cognitive neuroscience. One PhD, one burnout, and one neuroscience-fiction novel later, Ewa continues to pursue her passion for teaching and creative neuroscience communication. Her book Mirador de la Memoria—a suspenseful tale of neurohacking, legal labyrinths, and affective robots—comes out on November 20th.

As a post-doctoral researcher at the Geneva Finance Research Institute and the Swiss Center for Affective Sciences at the University of Geneva, Ewa studies emotion, memory, and the beautiful workings of the human mind. Her secret mission is to help connect bankers’ heads to their hearts.
