Christian is a German-Australian scientist and entrepreneur who honed his expertise at major scientific institutes worldwide. As a global leader in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science, he activates teams via AI technology, science, and entrepreneurship to reach new levels of sustainable social and economic growth.
Christian has more than 25 years’ experience working for some of the largest US and European IT companies including British Telecom, Ericsson, HP, and IBM, and he has launched and worked at several startups in the AI, healthcare, and data space.
During the dotcom boom, he built a number of intelligent systems based on machine learning and collaborative filtering, including a music recommendation engine, as well as an intelligent agent system that assists care teams with managing chronic diseases.
Christian holds an adjunct position as a Professor at the University of New South Wales in Australia, and is an Adjunct Researcher at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. He is also the Co-founder and Executive Director of the Nordic AI Institute, (NAII), a global alliance dedicated to using AI and machine learning for social and economic prosperity in the Nordic countries and beyond.
Christian has written and edited seven books; released more than 50 publications; and holds several patents.
